Game 1

McCook MNB Seniors struggled to get their offense going on Wednesday, getting easily dispatched by Hays Eagles, 8-1. Blake Schmidt was the winning pitcher for Hays Eagles. The bulldog surrendered one run on five hits over three innings, striking out two. Jacob Gomez-Wilson took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. The righthander went six innings, allowing six runs on eight hits. McCook MNB Seniors tallied seven hits on the day. Jordan Chauncy and Carter Larson all had multiple hits for McCook MNB Seniors. Larson and Chauncy each managed two hits to lead McCook MNB Seniors. Hays Eagles racked up eight hits in the game. Dalton Dale and Ben Krannawitter each managed multiple hits for Hays Eagles.

Game 2

McCook MNB Seniors fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 15-2 loss to Hays Eagles on Wednesday. Hays Eagles scored on a single by Carson Spray, a walk by Remington Cox, a walk by Gage Porter, and a groundout by Bradyn Dreher in the first inning. The McCook MNB Seniors struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hays Eagles, giving up 15 runs. Hays Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Spray singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Hays Eagles  scored five runs in the third inning. The big inning for Hays Eagles came thanks to singles by Spray and Ben Krannawitter and an error on a ball put in play by Blake Schmidt and Dreher. Dalton Dale earned the win for Hays Eagles. The pitcher went two innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out one and walking zero. Coleton Lentz took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. The pitcher went one inning, allowing ten runs on four hits and striking out one. Garrett Wellbrock started the game for Hays Eagles. The fireballer lasted two innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two and walking zero. McCook MNB Seniors socked one home run on the day. Quentin Terry put one out in the fourth inning. Terry went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead McCook MNB Seniors in hits. Hays Eagles tallied eight hits on the day. Wellbrock and Spray each collected multiple hits for Hays Eagles. Wellbrock led Hays Eagles with three hits in four at bats.
