Wildfire Burns Nearly 1,000 Acres South Of North Platte

In North Platte, a wildfire just southeast of the city has burned nearly 1,000 acres.
The Nebraska Forest Service said as of Wednesday afternoon, the fire was at 0% containment.
As of yesterday there are 15 fire departments, the Nebraska National Guard, and the Wildland Incident Response Team from the State Fire Marshall Agency helping with this fire.
