A Motor Vehicle Collision Near The Red Willow-Frontier County Line

On March 23,2025 at around 15:39 hours (3:39 p.m.) The Frontier County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision with injury on Highway 83 near the Red Willow-Frontier County line.

The preliminary investigation shows a southbound Nissan Altima crosse over the center line and onto the northbound lane shoulder colliding with a northbound Dodge pickup and trailer head-on. The Nissan came to rest in the east side ditch and the Dodge pickup came to rest on its top on the southbound lane of Highway 83.

The investigation is ongoing. No names are being released at this time, and we will provide an update later. Charges for the driver of the Nissan are pending completion of the investigation. Drugs and Alcohol have not been ruled out as a factor involved in the collision.
