Buffalo County Sheriff's Office Releases Results

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office recently completed a Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Mobilization Selective Traffic Enforcement campaign conducted throughout Buffalo County. The campaign was funded through a Mini-Grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office. The activity was conducted from August 16, 2024 – September 2, 2024 with deputies accounting for 32 hours of additional coverage.

As a whole Sheriff’s deputies had a total of 119 traffic contacts -- 29 citations were issued for various traffic violations and 90 warning/defect cards were issued for various infractions. During the campaign there were 5 arrests for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, 1 arrest for Driving Under Suspension, 1 Minor in possession of alcohol and 1 Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce. Deputies also issued 3 Careless driving, 2 Exhibition driving and 4 Engaging in a speed contest citation.
