Nebraska State Fair

Country music powerhouse Darryl Worley has been added to the lineup with the legendary Marshall Tucker Band and hometown favorite Blacktop Pony at the Nebraska State Fair on Wednesday, August 27, inside the air-conditioned Heartland Events Center.

Presented by the Nebraska Lottery and the 1868 Foundation, this triple-header concert is part of the Nebraska Lottery Concert Series, produced in partnership with Spirit in the Sky Productions.

Worley, a Tennessee native and platinum-selling singer-songwriter, has charted 18 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, including three No. 1 hits: “I Miss My Friend,” “Awful, Beautiful Life,” and the powerful post-9/11 anthem “Have You Forgotten?” which held the top spot for seven weeks.

Joining Worley is Southern rock mainstay The Marshall Tucker Band, whose career spans more than five decades. Known for iconic hits like “Can’t You See,” “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Fire on the Mountain,” and “Take the Highway,” the band continues to perform 150–200 shows each year to fans nationwide.

Opening the night is Nebraska’s own Blacktop Pony, a high-energy band with strong local roots and a growing regional following.

“The 1868 Foundation, through our generous member support, has been honored to join other community-minded sponsors to bring additional entertainment to the Nebraska State Fair,” said Lindsey Koepke, Executive Director of the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation. “This is a true community-wide effort that helps us provide first-rate entertainment at an affordable price for fairgoers across the state.”

Jaime Parr, Executive Director of the Nebraska State Fair, added, “Our Wednesday night concert has grown into an incredible lineup with Darryl Worley, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Blacktop Pony. Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Spirit in the Sky Productions, the Nebraska Lottery Concert Series continues to deliver high-quality entertainment for our guests.”

Tickets start at just $42, which includes a reserved seat in the Heartland Events Center and gate admission to the Nebraska State Fair. Tickets are available now at the Nebraska State Fair Box Office (located in the Nebraska Building at Fonner Park) or online at StateFair.org..
