High Wind Watch Issued

Key Message #1: A High Wind Watch has been issued for the entire Hastings County Warning Area. The watch will be in effect from Noon Tuesday, March 4th until Noon Wednesday, March 5th. Wind gusts of 50 to 60 MPH are expected.
Key Message #2: A storm system will move into the area on Monday, bringing chances for rain and snow. Rain is expected Monday evening into Tuesday morning, with rain changing over to snow Tuesday afternoon.
Key Message #3: The combination of strong winds and light snow will result in near-blizzard conditions, particularly for the northwestern portion of the area. This may include portions of Interstate 80.
