Hitchcock County Soars to the Second Round

Trenton, NE - The Hitchcock County Falcons would take on the Franklin Flyers in the opening round of the NSAA State High School Football playoffs on Thursday night in Trenton.  Hitchcock County would get off to a quick start to the game leading 12-0, but then Franklin would respond with a kickoff taken about 70 yards to the house then a fumble on the next possession for Hitchcock County capped off by a touchdown from Franklin and a two point conversion the Falcons found themselves trailing in the game 14-12 with 5:38 left to play in the first half.  Hitchcock County would regroup quickly finding the endzone four consecutive times to win the game 42-12.  Hitchcock County now 9-0 on the season is off to the second round of the State Playoffs.  Franklin season would end at 4-5.
