Hitchcock County Survives Opening Round of Playoffs

Trenton, NE - Hitchcock County able to come from behind to get the lead and survive at home in the opening round of the Class D2 playoffs.  Hitchcock County would strike first after a 30 yard Touchdown run by Quarter Back Jack Baker.  Wilcox-Hildreth would then answer but still trail after failing to get the two point conversion.  Hitchcock County would then strike in a back in forth first quarter after a 23 yard Touchdown pass from Jack Baker to Karson Shuler.  Hitchcock County would find themseleves leading 16-6.  Then in the second quarter three costly fumbles from Hitchcock County would then result in two scores by Wilcox-Hildreth part of three consecutive scores giving Wilcox-Hildreth the lead now 28-16 heading into halftime, but the Hitchcock County Falcons would respond with a 22 yard Touchdown pass from Jack Baker to Adam Kisker and a 1 yard Touchdown run by Karson Shuler as Hitchcock County would win it 30-28.  Hitchcock County now improves to 7-2 on the year and will now travel to 7-2 Wynot in the second round of the playoffs which will be played on Friday, November 1st.
