Huskers Hunt 10th Straight Win Against Omaha

Huskers Pinnacle Bank Arena

• NCAA NET No. 12 Nebraska hunts for just the fourth double-digit winning streak in school history when the Huskers play host to Omaha Tuesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

• Tip-off between the Big Red (9-0) and Mavericks (1-8) in Lincoln is set for 7 p.m. (CT) with tickets available at Huskers.com. Free live audio from the Huskers Radio Network will be available on Huskers.com, the Huskers App, 107.3 FM in Lincoln and 1490 AM/97.3 FM/97.7 HD3 in Omaha with Nate Rohr and Jeff Griesch on the call.

• A live video stream will be available to subscribers of B1G+.

• Nebraska improved to 9-0 with a record-setting 101-83 win at Penn State on Saturday afternoon. The Huskers set the school record with a 36-point fourth quarter on their way to 67 second-half points - tying the most in school history in any conference game.

• One of the nation's top offensive teams, the Huskers produced 80 points for the school-record ninth consecutive game with their third 100-point performance of the season. The 101 points against the Lady Lions also matched the school record for most points ever scored in a conference road contest.

• The Huskers are led by Nancy Lieberman Award candidate Britt Prince. The 5-11 sophomore point guard from Omaha ranks among the top scorers in the Big Ten Conference at 21.2 points while adding 4.1 assists. The Elkhorn North grad and two-time Nebraska High School Player of the Year has produced double figures in 13 consecutive games, including 20 points and six assists at Penn State. She owns a pair of 30-point efforts (ORU, Virginia) early this season. She is shooting 63.9 percent.

• Prince leads an emerging sophomore class for the Huskers that includes Amiah Hargrove. The 6-2 forward from Christopher, Ill., erupted for a career-high 26 points at Penn State. Hargrove poured in 19 in the second half alone on 8-of-9 shooting. She hit 10-of-14 shots and 4-of-5 threes in the best game of her young career. Hargrove scored 39 points in 35 game minutes last week for the Big Red. She is averaging 12.4 points and a team-leading 6.3 rebounds while hitting 61.5 percent of her shots.

• Sophomore Petra Bozan pitched in a career high of her own with 17 points in the win at Penn State. Bozan scored Nebraska's final two points of the third quarter and first nine points of the fourth quarter to help Hargrove and Prince fuel the Big Red's second-half scoring explosion. Bozan, a 6-3 forward from Split, Croatia, is averaging 9.0 points and 4.4 rebounds in her first season as a starter replacing four-time All-Big Ten post Alexis Markowski. Bozan also just missed a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds in last Wednesday's home win over Bradley.

• Junior Jessica Petrie has been a model of consistency as a starter inside alongside Bozan. The 6-2 forward from Gold Coast, Australia, produced double figures for the eighth time in nine games with 10 points at Penn State. She produced her first double-double of the season and second of her career with 15 points and 10 rebounds in NU's last home win over Bradley. She is averaging 12.0- points and 5.3 rebounds on the season.

• Senior Callin Hake adds a dynamic playmaker at both ends. The 5-8 guard from Victoria, Minn., is one of the Big Ten's top defenders, leading the Huskers in steals (15) and charges drawn. She adds a team-best 5.0 assists to go with her 8.0 points per game, including a career-high eight assists at Penn State.

• Graduate guard Hailey Weaver rounds out NU's starting five as a leader alongside Hake on the defensive end. The Big Red's top ball-pressuring guard ("Pirate" or "Hound"), Weaver ranks second on the team in steals and shares the team lead with Petrie in blocked shots while adding 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds.

• Nebraska's rotation goes 10-12 deep, including significant contributions from Eliza Maupin (8.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg), Logan Nissley (7.6 ppg, 2.9 rpg), Claire Johnson (6.0 ppg, 1.7 rpg) and Kennadi Williams (2.9 ppg), along with Emily Fisher and Alanna Neale.

Huskers Collect for U.S. Marines Toys 4 Tots
• The Nebraska women's basketball program will participate in the annual U.S. Marines Toys 4 Tots drive during its game with Omaha on Tuesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

• Fans are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys or cash, which will be collected by U.S. Marines positioned at both of the main entrances to Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Nebraska 1 of 3 Unbeaten Basketball Schools
• Nebraska is one of just three remaining NCAA Division I schools with undefeated men's and women's basketball programs.

• The Husker men's team coached by Fred Hoiberg (9-0) and the women's team coached by Amy Williams (9-0) join Iowa State and Vanderbilt as the only unbeaten basketball schools remaining in NCAA Division I.

• It is the first time the NU men's and women's basketball teams have started 9-0 the same season.

• The Husker men, who own the nation's longest active winning streak (13 games), play host to Wisconsin at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Big Red's Big Ten opener.

Huskers Hitting 80 at Historic Rate
• Nebraska has scored at least 80 points in each of its nine games to open 2025-26, including three 100-point scoring efforts.

• The only other time Nebraska produced 80 or more points in eight consecutive games came from the 1987-88 Big Eight Champion Huskers in an eight-game span from Jan. 6 at Maine (L, 82-89) through a 94-82 win at Oklahoma (Jan. 27). The 1987-88 Huskers went 7-1 during the stretch - previously the longest streak of scoring 80 or more points in school history.

Huskers Hang 100 on Lady Lions, Tie School Season Record
• Nebraska's 101-point effort at Penn State not only tied the school scoring record in a conference road game, it also tied a school season record with NU's third 100-point peformance in 2025-26.

• The last time Nebraska put up three 100-point games in a season came in 2021-22, when the Huskers crossed the century mark in three of NU's first five games against Maine (108, Nov. 9), Prairie View A&M (102, Nov. 11) and North Carolina Central (113, Nov. 20). The only other time the Huskers have produced three 100-point games in the same season came in 1982-83.

• Nebraska has never scored 100 points in four games in the same season.

Efficient Big Red Spread Wealth, Share Rock
• As a team, NU ranks ninth nationally in scoring offense (90.7 ppg), while ranking second in field goal percentage (.539), 12th in scoring margin (30.1 ppg) and 21st in three-point percentage (.378).

• NU ranks sixth nationally in assists per game (21.1 apg) and 10th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.62). Three Huskers rank in the top 75 nationally in assist-to-turnover - Callin Hake (33rd, 2.65), Logan Nissley (53rd, 2.33) and Britt Prince (75th, 2.06) - but do not lead the team in the category. Redshirt freshman Kennadi Williams leads the Huskers with 22 assists to 5 turnovers (4.40) but does not make the national minimum of 3.0 assists per game.

• Nebraska's early season depth has been remarkable, especially considering the Huskers have been playing without injured Katrina McClain Award candidate Natalie Potts and Allison Weidner, a graduate guard redshirting in 2025-26 with an injury. In 1,800 game minutes, Nebraska's five starters have combined for approximately 1,030 minutes, while the reserves have played approximately 770.

• Nebraska ranks fourth nationally in bench scoring (35.8 ppg), including 45 points in the Big Ten-opening road win at Penn State.

• As a team, Nebraska leads the Big Ten and ranks second nationally by shooting 53.9 percent from the field through nine games. Only two Husker teams have ever hit 50 percent or better from the field - 1991-92 (.503) and 1987-88 (.500).

Scouting the Omaha Mavericks
• Omaha comes to Lincoln in Coach Jamie Carey's first season leading the Mavs. The former Texas and Stanford point guard has seen her team struggle to a 1-8 start, including a 71-60 home loss to Northern Colorado on Saturday.

• The Mavericks, who finished 14-17 overall and 5-11 in the Summit League last season, lost last year's leading scorers Grace Cave (16.2 ppg) and Ja Harvey (15.0 ppg) to graduation.

• Cora Olsen is back as the Mavs' top returning scorer (9.4 ppg) from a year ago. The 5-9 junior forward out of Millard South is averaging a team-best 17.3 points but has missed the last three games. Olsen had 23 point and seven rebounds in 39 minutes in an 82-73 loss to Cal State Bakersfield at Baxter Arena in Omaha (Nov. 20). It was her third 20-point scoring effort of the season. Olsen had three points and four rebounds against Nebraska last season.

• Sophomore Daria Shelby has stepped into the starting five in place of Olsen, but is averaging just 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds early in the year.

• Graduate guard Saria Estupinan led the Mavs with 23 points and five assists in the loss to the Bears. The 5-5 transfer from Old Dominion is averaging 15.6 points and a team-best 3.4 assists per game, while also leading Omaha with 19 three-pointers (.339). Estupinan, who is also shooting nearly 90 percent (35-39) at the free throw line, also owns 41 turnovers (4.6 pg). The fifth-year collegian who is competing at her fifth school, appeared in 15 games with two starts at ODU last year. She was a walk-on who redshirted at UTSA in 2023-24. She started her career at St. Mary's (Texas) before transferring to Tallahassee CC.

• Freshmen Ali Stephens (5.8 ppg, 4.7 rpg), Leekaya Burke Perryman (4.7 ppg) and Avril Smith (2.3 ppg) have started every game early in their Mav careers. Smith, a 6-0 forward from Millard North is Omaha's top rebounder, averaging 9.9 boards per game. Stephens is coming off a 14-points, seven-rebound effort against Northern Colorado.

• A fourth freshman, Regan Juenemann comes off the bench as Omaha's third-leading scorer at 7.8 points per game. She is shooting a team-best 43.3 percent (13-30) from three-point range. She had nine points Saturday against Northern Colorado.

• Freshmen Lillian Merow (4.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg) - the tallest active Mav at 6-2 - had eight points and three rebounds Saturday against Northern Colorado. Elsa Vedral (3.6 ppg, 1.7 rpg) gives the Mavs six significant first-year freshman contributors. Vedral, who was an all-stater at Omaha Marian, is the daughter of former Nebraska football player Mike Vedral. Her brother Noah was the starting quarterback at Rutgers, while her brother Ezra plays football at Kansas. Her sister Anna is a pole vaulter at Kansas and her brother Eli was a cross country and track athlete at Creighton.

• As a team, Omaha is shooting just 34.2 percent from the field, including 30.7 percent from three-point range. The Mavs have hit 67.3 percent of their free throws. Omaha has been outscored 78.0-56.9 through nine games and carries a minus-6.9 rebound margin and a minus-7.2 turnover margin.
