Karrer RV Park is Closed Until Further Notice

Karrer Park is closed until further notice.  This closure is not permanent.  City Staff is concerned about assuring the safety of those who use the park due to individuals who have chosen to make the park their permanent home. The facility was never intended to serve as a residence, but rather for short stays only.  We have had numerous calls from visitors traveling through McCook who normally would use the park to visit.  These callers have stated that with the behavior of some of the individuals that are frequenting the park, they have chosen other options. 

We are also aware of concerns that individuals are causing at Norris Park, in particular at the bandshell and restrooms. The Public Works Department is working with the Police Department to address these concerns. We would like to ask the public for their assistance. If the public sees suspicious activity including at Norris Park or any other park in town, please give the Police Department a call at (308)345-3450.
