McCook Girls Tennis Head Coach Matt Wiemers Recaps State Tennis

The McCook girls' tennis team won the 2025 Class B state championship on Friday. Head Coach Matt Wiemers recaps how the State Tournament went for the Bison.
McCook would finish with 42.625 points ahead of Duchesne, who finished in 2nd place with 34.750. 3rd place went to Skutt Catholic as the Skyhawks finished with 34.500 points. Team Scores - HERE
Brooklyn Gillen led the Bison at #2 doubles as she would run the table, winning the individual title and finishing the season 43-0. Gillen would down Gretna East in the finals 6-2, 6-3.
Isabelle Clause & Roslyn Wiemers would win the #1 Doubles title, downing Omaha Skutt Catholic in the championship 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.
Abigail Schneider would medal and finish in 6th place in #1 Singles. Elizabeth McConville/Cassidy Rogers would also medal finishing in 7th place.
