McCook MNB Seniors Cannot Hold Onto Lead Versus Broken Bow

McCook MNB Seniors lost to Broken Bow 17-9 on Sunday at McCook even though they once led by five runs. McCook MNB Seniors got on the board in the second inning after Ollie Corbett doubled, scoring one run. McCook MNB Seniors added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Quentin Terry hit a sacrifice fly, Trey Tiller singled, Corbett walked, and Noah Mashek walked, each scoring one run. Broken Bow flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on four hits to take a 10-5 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Zach Loy that drove in two. Owen Hartman earned the win for Broken Bow. The righty allowed one hit and two runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking four. Brody Graham took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. They went one and one-third innings, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) on seven hits, striking out none and walking two. Gabe Roberts started on the hill for McCook MNB Seniors. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs over three innings, striking out none and walking two. Max Denson started on the mound for Broken Bow. They gave up three hits and five runs (one earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five. Bryson Gullion went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead McCook MNB Seniors in hits. Roberts and Corbett each drove in two runs for McCook MNB Seniors. McCook MNB Seniors had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 10 walks for the game. Corbett and Terry led the team with two free passes each. Gullion stole two bases. McCook MNB Seniors turned one double play in the game. Broken Bow tallied 18 hits in the game. Denson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Broken Bow with four runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Coy Wardyn led Broken Bow with four hits in four at bats. Brice Chaplin, Eli Coble, Hartman , and Loy each collected multiple hits for Broken Bow.
