Nebraska vs. Louisville

• Friday's matchup between the Huskers and Cardinals is the first meeting on the diamond between the two programs since 1998.

• Nebraska and Louisville split two games in 1998, while the Big Red took three of four games against the Cardinals in 1995.

Nebraska vs. Kansas State

• Nebraska and Kansas State have met 294 times on the diamond, with the Huskers holding a 175-119 lead over the Wildcats in the all-time series.

• K-State won two of the three games against the Big Red in last season's matchups between the former Big 12 foes.

 Nebraska vs. Florida State

• Sunday's showdown between the Huskers and Seminoles is the second all-time meeting between the two programs.

• In their lone meeting in 2004, Florida State picked up a 5-3 win over Nebraska at the Dairy Queen Classic in the Metrodome in Minneapolis.

Opening Weekend Notables

• Nebraska opened the season 3-0 last weekend, marking its first 3-0 start since 2005.

• Nebraska is off to one of its most productive offensive starts this century, totaling its highest batting average (.370), second-most hits (57), third-most extra-base hits (19) and sixth-most runs scored (34) through four games to begin a season.

• Junior Mac Moyer went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles in his first career start vs. Stanford on Monday, joining Brandon Buckman as the only two Huskers to record four hits while making their first career start since 2000.

• With 4.2 innings in his first start last weekend, sophomore Gavin Blachowicz became the fifth Husker pitcher in the Bolt era to reach that mark in their first start at the DI level.

• Jett Buck, Dylan Carey and Joshua Overbeek have recorded multi-hit games in each of Nebraska's first four games this season, joining DJ Belfonte (2010), Luke Gorsett (2006) and Alex Gordon (2004) as the only six Huskers to accomplish the feat since 2000.

Big Red Success Against Ranked Foes

• With matchups against No. 15 Louisville and No. 16 Florida State, Nebraska is looking to build off the success against ranked opponents in 2025.

• The Huskers went 6-2 against ranked teams last season after facing No. 2 LSU, No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 Oregon State (3x), No. 13 UCLA, No. 16 Vanderbilt and No. 22 Kansas.

A Look at the Weekend Rotation

• Ty Horn takes the mound on Friday's opener vs. No. 15 Louisville. The junior is 0-0 on the season with a 1.93 ERA after allowing a run on three hits and striking out six in 4.2 innings of work in Nebraska's season opener vs. UConn last weekend.

• Redshirt sophomore Carson Jasa gets the nod on Saturday after dealing five innings in a win against Northeastern last weekend. Jasa surrendered four runs, three earned, on five hits and struck out a career-high nine batters against the Huskies.

• Sophomore Gavin Blachowicz is scheduled to start the weekend finale on Sunday against No. 16 Florida State after pitching 4.2 innings against Grand Canyon last weekend. Making his first career start, the right-hander allowed just one run across two hits with five punchouts on Sunday.

Lucky Number Six in the Bolt Era

• Nebraska is 132-29 under head coach Will Bolt when scoring at least six runs.

• The Husker offense scored six-plus runs in all four games last weekend after reaching the six-run mark 32 times last season, compiling a 25-7 record.

• Nebraska scored six-plus runs in 34 contests (28-6) in 2024 after tallying at least six runs 33 times (26-7) in 2024, 23 times (19-4) in 2022, 28 times (26-2) in 2021 and seven times (5-2) in 2020.

Horn on the Hill: 2.69 ERA in Last Nine Starts

• Junior Ty Horn played a key role in Nebraska's season opener and the Big Red capturing last season's Big Ten Tournament title.

• Across his last nine starts, Horn is 4-0 with a 2.69 ERA and 42 punchouts in 50 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .218 batting average.

• The right-hander picked up his fourth quality start of the season with a career outing against No. 13 UCLA in the championship game of the Big Ten Tournament in 2025.

• Horn blanked the 13th-ranked Bruins and allowed just three hits in a career-high eight innings with six strikeouts and three walks while allowing just one baserunner to reach third base.

Carey Nearing All-Time Doubles Record

• With 48 career doubles in four seasons at Nebraska, Dylan Carey needs nine doubles to become the program's all-time leader.

• Carey is fifth all-time after recording one double in last weekend's win against Grand Canyon.

• The Castle Rock, Colo., native is five shy of tying Alex Gordon (2003-05) in fourth and seven away from Daniel Bruce (2002-05) and Matt Hopper (2000-03) in second.

Carey Closing in on 200-Career Hit Club

• Dylan Carey enters the weekend with 190 hits, putting him 10 hits shy of becoming the 28th member of Nebraska's 200-hit club.

• Carey has averaged 62 hits over the last two seasons, which would put him just outside NU's all-time top 10 if he were to reach that average in 2026.

• The Huskers have had four players join the 200-hit club since 2015, including second-round draft picks Max Anderson (2021-23) and Ryan Boldt (2014-16).

 Bats in the Husker Lineup

• Mac Moyer appeared in all four games last weekend, batting .714 with two doubles and a pair of runs scored.
