Second-Inning Burst Enough To Lead North Platte Past McCook MNB Seniors

North Platte scored seven runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat McCook MNB Seniors 12-1 on Tuesday at McCook. North Platte were the first to get on the board in the first when Jack Polk hit a solo home run to left field. North Platte scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the second inning. Tyler Townsend singled, scoring one run, Polk drew a walk, scoring one run, Landan Greeno singled, scoring one run, a steal of home scored one run, Dein McEntire singled, scoring two runs, and Logan Hayes drew a walk, scoring one run. Polk earned the win for North Platte. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking two. Espn Hall took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. They went one and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking two. Trey Tiller and Tristan Campbell each collected one hit for McCook MNB Seniors. North Platte collected 10 hits in the game. North Platte's Ty Haneborg made the most of their chances at the plate. The number seven hitter led the team with three hits in three at bats. Caden Joneson, Haneborg, Greeno, and Polk each stole multiple bases for North Platte. North Platte stole 11 bases in the game.
