Bahl Named to USA Softball Watchlist

Nebraska softball junior Jordy Bahl is one of 53 players on USA Softball’s Preseason Watchlist, the organization announced Wednesday.
Bahl has earned numerous preseason honors, as she was also tabbed a Preseason First-Team All-American by both D1 Softball and Softball America and was D1 Softball’s No. 2 Player and Pitcher to Watch and Softball America’s No. 2 Player to Watch.
The junior is one of nine Big Ten athletes on the watchlist.
Bahl enters her second season with the Huskers after suffering a season-ending injury in NU’s first game of the 2024 season. Prior to coming to Nebraska, the junior competed for Oklahoma, where she was a two-time NFCA First-Team All-American and two-time Big 12 Pitcher of the Year. She was also the 2022 National Freshman of the Year. Bahl owns a 1.06 career ERA, along with a .350 batting average.
Bahl and the rest of the Huskers will open their season at the NFCA Leadoff Classic from Feb. 6-9 in Clearwater, Fla.
